59th Prakash Chandra Ghosh Memorial All India Full-Length Bengali Drama Competition – 2025-2026. From 20th December, 2025 to 8th January, 2026.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s Drama Competition will commence on 20th December 2025 from 7:30pm. To make the opening day special, we have planned a unique presentation of Bengal’s traditional cultural art form “Putul Nach” narrated as “Thakumar Jhuli”, a treat that will be enjoyed by everyone, from children to Thakuma and Didima. This will be a first of its kind show in Lucknow. The Putul Nach will be presented by Baruipur Gangaradi Puppet Theatre group under the direction of Dr. Pradip Sardar and his team from Kolkata. “Shruti Natak” performance by Sri Indrajeet Mitra & Smt. Rupa Mukherjee will also be presented on the opening day. The competition will begin on 21st December 2025. This year, all the top winning teams of yesteryear’s will be participating and we are confident that theatre lovers of Lucknow will witness some truly outstanding productions. Daily Drama will start from 7.30 PM and this year maximum time of performance is 2 hours with 10 Minutes interval. Entry Free.
